Creative Industries in the era of constraint

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

The Creative and Cultural Industries are held up as one of Britain's most valuable economic assets. As we enter the era of constraint, precedent tells us that artists will produce better work. But this new phase is also a curse: an arts funding crisis and a complete restructuring of media organisations and agencies poses this question: how exactly are we supposed sustain the Creative Industries? Enter Crunchlab, a new grassroots community of creative practitioners developing more resourceful ways of operating, outside of traditional institutions. Come talk to them about the new business models they've been spotting in developing economies like Brazil, and which Britain needs to latch onto. Fast.
